Class Requirements and Info

Texas Forms must be completed outside of the class on students own time

(This is not a basic class. You must have a working knowledge of basic handgun skills such as: Loading and unloading, Safety rules, and Basic marksmanship)

Class Requirement

  

  • Basic handgun knowledge.  Loading and unloading your handgun.

  • Handgun  -no caliber requirements .22 is acceptable.   (Revolver or Semi-auto DOES NOT MATTER)  Bring something you are comfortable shooting.  You do not have to qualify with your “carry gun”.  Loaner handguns and ammunition are available upon request for additional charge of $25.00.

  • Proper ammunition for your weapon (50 rounds per qualification).  Target ammo is preferred.

  • Outdoor clothing (closed toe shoes).  Low cut blouses are not preferred as they may catch hot brass.

  • Black ink ball point pen  

  • Driver’s License or TX ID card

  • Note pad (optional)

  • Non – alcoholic beverages only.  Water and coffee provided at no charge.

LTC Classes Itinerary

8:30 am:  Classroom Training

 

12:30 – 1:30 pm: Lunch on your own

 

1:30 – 5:00 pm: Classroom Training, Qualifications (Range time), Test, and Graduation

 

Please be on time.

*(This is not a beginner class. Beginner classes are available per request.)*

Minimum of 5 shooters per class. Non-refundable class fee of $100.00 must be received by Saturday the week before class, to reserve your spot.  If bad weather, the range part of the class will be rescheduled. Payments can be made cash or check. Cash or checks can be dropped off in a sealed envelope, marked Michael Beyer, at Don's Firearms, @ 2302 N. Main or mail to Michael Beyer, 4704 FM 1685, Victoria, Texas 77905. A receipt will be mailed or provided.​

Safety Equipment

Please bring​

  • Eye protection (prescription eye wear is fine)

  • Ear protection (plugs or muffs)

  • Some sort of brimmed hat or cap that is compatible with your hearing protection

  • RPPFT has loaner protective equipment - call to check on availablitiy
